Chilliwack RCMP are looking for a 16-year-old boy last seen at Sardis Secondary school on Monday morning.
Douglas Banman is described by police as “easily influenced” and functioning “at an age somewhat young than his chronological age” raising concern about his well-being.
Banman had suggested to friends than he was going to Nanaimo or to Calgary to find work, but he has not been heard from since leaving the school on Monday at about 10 a.m.
“This is unusual for Doug to be gone for this length of time,” RCMP Const. Tracy Wolbeck said.
“We are hoping that he contacts his family or friends to advise them of his well-being.”
Banman is described as a white male with blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5’9″ tall and weighs about 160 lbs.
It is unknown what he was wearing when last seen, and there is no photo yet available.
Anyone with information on Banman’s whereabouts is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
