Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in a search for a male suspect wanted for numerous violent offences.
The suspect is Russell Dale McDermid, 37, who is believed to reside in the Okanagan but so far has evaded police.

McDermid is wanted for the following offences:
• Assault – Section 266 CC
• Mischief – Section 430 CC
• Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm – Section 264.1(1)(a) CC X2
• Criminal Harassment – Section 264 CC X2
• Sexual Assault with a weapon – Section 272(2) CC
• Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Section 267 (b) CC
McDermid is described as 5-foot-4 tall and weighing 144 lbs. with has brown hair and blue eyes.
Kelowna RCMP are asking anyone who has seen McDermid or knows of his whereabouts to contact their local RCMP detachment. He is considered dangerous and therefore should not be approached.
