It was a close call for a Parksville cyclist, who was biking down Memorial Avenue when he was hit by a mirror of a passing vehicle.
The incident occurred on May 28 at 9:30 p.m. The man, who was cycling toward Highway 4A, was clipped by the mirror of the vehicle. The driver proceeded West on Memorial without stopping to offer assistance.

The 59-year-old cyclist suffered minor injuries and was able to maintain his balance without being thrown to the ground. He was assessed by the BC Ambulance Service.
The car was described as a black, 1990s model Ford Thunderbird. The cyclist believed the driver was holding something in their hand.
