Police arrested a local male for an assault that recently took place in Clearwater.
The incident occurred at an outdoor bush party.
The male was later released from police custody with a court date and no contact conditions with the victim.
Vavenby Post Office vandalized
An employee called the RCMP to report a mischief complaint at the Canada Post Office in Vavenby.
The employee showed up at work on April 1 and found that the outside of the building/doors had been egged.
The door to gain access to mail boxes is left open overnight, graffiti in pen was written on the wooden table.
If you woke up in the morning and were missing eggs from your fridge, you might want to have a talk with your child/youth.
Damage at Eleanor Lake in Blue River
A local resident called the RCMP to report a vandalism complaint at Eleanor Lake. It was reported that the night before there had been a beach party and a 4×4 drove down onto the beach.
Liquor bottles and cans were thrown all over the beach and a sitting bench was damaged.

Impaired drivers
The Clearwater Traffic Section caught two impaired drivers in one night this week.
The first driver received a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The second driver received a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition for refusal to provide a breath sample.
The uninsured motorbike he was driving was impounded for 30 days. The driver was issued numerous violation tickets for the uninsured motorbike and other Motor Vehicle Act offences.
Studded tires
The RCMP would like to remind the public that at the end of April, studded tires need to be removed from your vehicles.
From May 1 to September 30, driving with studded tires in the summer months could get you a fine of $109 under the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
