The RCMP are seeking two witnesses who may have called a tow truck to the area of the fatal collision on April 28 where a pedestrian was struck by a flat deck tow truck on Highway 23 North, approximately 90 km north of Revelstoke.
It is believed that the witnesses could have information that could assist the police investigation. On April 28 Revelstoke RCMP, Trans Canada East Traffic Services and British Columbia Ambulance Service (BCAS) responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a flat deck tow truck on Highway 23 North around 3 p.m.
BCAS dispatched a helicopter to the location, in addition to an ambulance, approximately 90 kms north of Revelstoke.
BCAS attended to the accident, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The 31-year-old man was originally from Golden, but resided in Grande Praire, Alberta.

Police have determined that at 11 a.m. two unknown men described as fishermen may have stopped at Mica Hydro village and asked for assistance in calling a tow truck for a stranded motorist.
An employee at the camp assisted in providing the phone numbers for several tow companies in Revelstoke and left the men to call using the public phone in the building.
Police believe these men could have information that could help further this investigation and are asking them to contact the Revelstoke RCMP detachment at 250-837-5255.
Members of the Trans Canada East Traffic Services unit continue to investigate the cause of this collision and are assisting the BC Coroners Service.
