RCMP to hold career presentation in Quesnel

Have you ever thought of becoming a police officer with the RCMP? If so, now’s your chance to learn more.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is hiring and will be holding a career presentation next week in Quesnel.

“The RCMP offers an exceptional career, letting you make a real difference in your community and your country,” according to a press release from the RCMP. “To do our job, we need police officers from all backgrounds who are physically fit, up for a challenge and ready to make a difference wherever they’re posted.”

Anyone interested in learning more about being an RCMP member is invited to attend a career presentation Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Quesnel Downtown Business Association office at 246 St. Laurent Ave. Pre-registration is required by calling 1-877-726-7472 or emailling lmd_proactive_recruiting@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Be sure to include your name, your email address or phone number and the date and location of the presentation.

Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the presentation with identification.

Erika Dirsus of the RCMP Proactive Recruiting Unit said in the release. “The RCMP gives you the opportunity to become a part of something much larger than yourself — or anything you could ever imagine.”

The RCMP will also be at the Quesnel Job Fair Thursday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Quesnel and District Seniors’ Centre at 461 Carson Ave.
