A Surrey car thief led police on a chase that ended in Harrison Hot Springs Thursday morning.
Jacob Wallis, 36, was driving a stolen vehicle in the area of 158th Avenue and 101st Street in Surrey at about 9:10 a.m. when he was observed by Surrey’s Auto Crime Target Team and Property Crime Target Team.
The vehicle was tracked to address, where a brief stand off occurred – Wallis went inside the residence but presented himself to police when they ordered him to exit the house.
Wallis was arrested and charged with driving while prohibited, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a break-in instrument.
