RCMP Cpl. Judson Mayes contacted the Times late Thursday afternoon to confirm a second night of break and enter and vandalism at the Kettle Valley Golf Course. He said gasoline and the maintenance shed were again the targets; and again the thieves drove over the green.
Mayes also reported that thieves had returned on Tuesday night (March 31) to a Westbridge property that they had hit last week.
And finally Mayes reported that local RCMP has received reports of phone scam artists working the area. They claim to be with the Canada Revenue Agency. Police advise caution and suggest that if you do receive such a call that you confirm your situation by phoning a CRA number from the phone book instead of giving information out over the phone to an unsolicited phone call.
