Reach a Reader, an annual fundraiser for literacy programs through Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy, will have community leaders and volunteers distributing newspapers and collecting donations on Wednesday. Loonies for Literacy piggy banks will be available in communities throughout October.
Loonies for Literacy
All proceeds from Trail Times newspaper donations on Oct. 5 will go directly into CBAL programs. In Trail and Fruitvale, Kootenay Savings Credit Union will have banks in their branches
to collect donations as will ProVision Optical, Crockett Books, CBAL office, Elite Physiotherapy and Evergreen Physiotherapy. Funds will go to the community in which they are raised to support free literacy programs.. Coun.
