Hundreds of people descended on Vedder Crossing in Sardis Friday morning to honour those who have given their lives in the service of Canada.
They came to honour past veterans of the First World War, the sparse few remaining veterans of the Second World War, as well as those who served in more recent conflicts like the Korean War, Kosovo, the Gulf War and Afghanistan.
The Remembrance Day service was one of three taking place in Chilliwack on Friday. Events were also held at the cenotaph downtown and at the Coqualeetza longhouse.
