Retirement home residents raise $600 for the Alzheimer’s Society of BC

The money is being matched by the company which owns the residence for a total donation of $1,200.

Charles Manor Retirement Residence raised $600 for the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.

The funds were raised through a garage sale held at the residence on Satudary Sept. 15. Items were all donated by the residents and staff of the building, and a number of residents volunteered to help with selling them.

The Vancouver Resource Society, which own Charles Manor, matched the donation raised by the residents for a total donation of $1,200 to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
