Former Treasury chief Rishi Sunak has won the race to become Britain’s next prime minister after winning the Conservative leadership race on Monday.
Sunak will run as Britain’s first leader of color, and the nation’s third leader so far this year. He will take over as prime minister from Liz Truss, who quit after 45 days in office.
