HOLBERG—Travelers to Winter Harbour and the West Coast are warned to expect delays due to road work immediately following the Labour Day Long Weekend, Western Forest Products announced Friday.
Crews will be performing bridge maintenance work at the 11-kilometre mark of South Main Tuesday, Sept. 3. Motorists are cautioned to expect delays of up to an hour while work takes place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The following day, Sept. 4, access to Winter Harbour will be blocked when the Winter Harbour Cutoff Road is closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for replacement of a bridge at the 16.4-km mark.
The maintenance and closures will impact travel to Winter Harbour, Grant Bay and other West Coast destinations.
