An inspection is made by Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick and Reid Drummond, senior project manager for the Central Okanagan Regional District, where additional safety measures have been implemented on a new section of Highway 97 between Winfield and Oyama.
On Jan. 6, a boulder fell from the work site onto a car being driven along the existing Highway 97 between Oyama and Winfield. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
