Motorists are being warned about work on a major Vernon road.
Repair work on 27th Street, between 45th and 38th avenues, will begin May 15.
“Repairs are expected to take about five weeks to complete,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the city’s communications officer.
“The continuation of the repaving program is scheduled for the end of September to avoid high volumes of tourist traffic. The base repairs before repaving are necessary to increase the life span of the road.”
Motorists should be prepared for minor delays and traffic may be reduced to single lane in both directions.
