Rob Morrison, a nominee for the Conservative Party of Canada Kootenay-Columbia, was in Creston Thursday to hear Andrew Wilkinson talk about the upcoming Proportional Representation Referendum.
“I am running for office for the Conservative Party, and I’ve had many people asking questions about the Proportional Representation Referendum, Andrew Wilkinson is right in saying that the Proportional Representation is confusing. Voters need more time to digest information to make an informed decision.”
During his visit to Creston Morrison spent time meeting with supporters. “I have been in and around the Creston Valley for 40 years; I have a lot of friends and supporters helping me in my campaign to be a Conservative Party representative. I am not a politician I have never been in politics before however, I think its time we had somebody that knows and understands the Creston Valley and what the issues are.”
Morrison formerly worked as an RCMP officer in Creston and has lived and worked in the Kootenay-Columbia region for the past 40 years and is committed to helping the Conservative Party take back the electoral district by representing the Kootenay-Columbia region in the 2019 Federal Election.
The 43rd Canadian federal election is scheduled to take place on October 21, 2019.
