A knife-wielding robbery suspect is either running around with the winning combination to a lot of cash or a stay in prison after making off with scratch and win tickets Thursday.
Mounties responded to a robbery at the College Grocer convenience store on Wakesiah Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. after a man produced a knife, grabbed an undisclosed number of scratch lottery tickets and fled.
The store clerk chased the suspect for a short distance before an RCMP dog team took up the track, but lost it where police believe he got into a vehicle and escaped.
No one was injured.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, 20-25 years, 5-foot-5, with a thin build. He wore a white baseball cap, black and white bandana, black long-sleeve shirt, black long shorts and black and lime-green gloves.
