What better way to tell your mum you love her than to get some air-brushed tattoos together?
This Sunday, Royal Roads University is hosting the 17th annual Mother’s Day Paint-In.
Art of all mediums will be on display at the popular event. Everything from sculptures to jewelry to pottery to baked goods will be available to admire or purchase.
The Sparkle Shack will also be on site with “extreme face painting, air brush body painting and tattoos.”
Along with the art on display there will be a variety of entertainers taking to the main stage, including Victoria’s Mike Lefebvre and Perros Libres and the West Shore Community Concert Band. Talks from community leaders will focus on Colwood heritage, power conservation tips and interactive activities.
A children’s area will be a lively place, with clowns, crafts and a miniature train.
Royal Roads highlights, such as Hatley Castle and the gardens, will also be open for visitors.
Organizers expect more than 3,000 visitors will attend the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, but parking is $5 for the day.
