Sam Weber is rolling back through Golden, and it is time to get up close and personal with him at Bacchus Books on April 29.
While he’s on tour, Weber is making a stop in at Bacchus Books to play in the small venue, to an intimate show with limited tickets available.
Courtney Allen at Bacchus first heard Weber at the Rockwater a few years ago, and he most recently played there again this spring. The show brought out music lovers for an excellent showcase of Weber’s artistry, and Bacchus Books is excited to bring him back through once again, Allen said.
“His music is just fabulous,” Allen said. He’s very heartfelt, and his lyrics made sense to me, and resonated.”
On his website, Weber is described as a singer of truth love, life, and family. He began piano lessons when he was six years old, and made the switch to electric guitar after the first time he heard Aerosmith’s Dream On. When he was 14, he began teaching guitar at his community music school, and started playing cover shows in cafes and restaurants in his hometown in a family band.
“He sings songs about his family, and loves, and his life, and it’s all very relatable. The music itself is also really amazing to listen to. I wanted to see him again,” Allen said. “Normally his shows are a bit bigger. He often plays in bars and pubs. He has been doing some house concerts and different venues, so he’s told me he’s really excited about an opportunity to play in a building like this.”
Weber has been touring internationally independently and with his band since 2013. He has worked on his music in his home in North Saanich, and works in studios in Los Angeles, California to hone his musical craft. His live show brings together his heartfelt songwriting and harmonies with world-class musicianship.
“I’m excited to bring a musician of [Weber’s] caliber for a show like this,” Allen said.
Bacchus Books hosts Sam Weber on April 29, doors open at 7 p.m., and the music begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance at Bacchus Books.
