For those who want to get on the good side of the Jolly Gent this Christmas season what better way than taking part in the sixth annual Santa Rec Run Saturday, Nov. 25.
Presented by Hoodoo Adventures and the Bears Den Restaurant, this is a family-friendly event with five and 10-kilometre races and a whole host of fun in between. As well, this year a 1.5 kilometre run has been added for the kids.
Along that course there will be a variety of “fun stops” including fishing for candy canes and a Santa boot toss. Participants will also get their own Santa hat to keep.

The races will begin at Hoodoo Adventures Outdoor Pursuits Centre at 131 Ellis St. and the longer courses go along scenic Lakeshore Drive and the Channel Parkway and back to the finish line.
At the end participants can look forward to hot chocolate, cookies, holiday music and prizes including some for the most creative holiday costumes.
Hoodoo’s will offer a a full day of “climb by donation” at their indoor climbing gym.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society which is a non-profit subsidy program which funds outdoor recreation opportunities for schools in the Okanagan-Skaha School District.
