The morning of Tuesday, Aug. 23 ended badly for a truck driver traveling west on Agate Bay Road. The loaded logging truck and trailer laid over on their side while negotiating a curve approximately three kilometers from the Yellowhead Highway turnoff south of Barriere. Police, ambulance and Barriere Fire Department attended, but no injuries were reported to the driver.
