A crash on Sooke Road near Manzer Road caused traffic delays in both directions Wednesday evening.
According to Sooke Fire Rescue, a vehicle crashed into the rear of another, causing significant damage to both vehicles, at around 5:20 p.m.
One of the drivers sustained minor injuries but was treated at the scene and did not require to go to the hospital.
Crews were unable to locate the driver of the second vehicle.
“Indication is they just walked onto a nearby property and were not located prior to the vehicles being removed,” said Matt Barney, Deputy Fire Chief, adding RCMP was still trying to locate the driver when fire crews left the scene.
The scene was cleared around 6:30 p.m. and reopened to traffic in both ways.
