Armstrong council is in the process of reviewing options to permit secondary suites within single family dwellings in all low-density residential zones.
“We directed staff to make amendments to the zoning bylaw to allow suites in all low-density residential homes, and that included some language with respect to parking,” said Coun. Ryan Nitchie.
Council is proposing that one off-street parking space shall be provided for a secondary suite containing one bedroom, and two off-street parking spaces for two-bedroom suites.
Council passed first two readings of the zoning text amendment.
A public hearing on the matter will be held in council chambers at 7 p.m. April 22.
