A section of Fifth Street is closed after a pickup truck and a station wagon collided this afternoon.
The accident, involving a Chevrolet Avalanche and a Subaru Forester, happened at 4:15 p.m. near Vancouver Island University and the stretch of road will be closed until about 5:30 p.m., said emergency personnel on scene.
One woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
B.C. Ambulance Service, Nanaimo Fire Rescue and Nanaimo RCMP were all on scene.
