David Cox stopped by The NEWS office last Thursday, while on his 1,000 km Vancouver Island bike ride to raise money to end Multiple Sclerosis.

The 68-year old left his home in Colwood June 28 and headed for Port Hardy, and was on his return trip when he stopped in at The NEWS. After a night camping in the area, he planned to take part in the Cowichan Valley Grape Escape MS ride that started July 6.

Cox’s niece has MS and is confined to a wheelchair, which is one of the reasons he continues to raise money and awareness for the disease. This is the third time he’s done his unsupported Vancouver Island Ride, but this marks 19 years biking for MS. To make a pledge to Cox’s MS campaign visit www.mstours.ca and search for him by name.
