Surrey RCMP say a 75-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being hit this morning.

He was “not in a marked crosswalk when he was struck,” said Sergeant Chad Greig.

It happened in the 12900-block of 64th Avenue at approximately 7 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 7).

“The 36-year-old female driver of a Nissan sedan remained on scene and is co-operating with police,” Greig told the Now-Leader.

The investigation is ongoing and police do not believe speed or impairment were contributing factors.
