UPDATE: Surrey RCMP investigating third suspected drug-impaired driving incident in a week
Traffic along Highway 10 in Newton was diverted Friday evening (Jan. 29) after a serious crash.
Around 4:25 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision near 152nd Street and Highway 10, according to a release from Surrey RCMP.
Police said initial indications are that it was a head-on collision, “with potentially serious injuries.”
Footage from a Black Press Media freelancer at the scene showed three vehicles involved in the crash, including Jeep on the sidewalk on the north side of Highway 10, just east of 152nd Street.
Initially, traffic was moving eastbound, southbound and northbound, but police ended up diverting traffic in all directions. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

DriveBC tweeted the scene was cleared at 9:43 p.m.
While the investigation is in its early stages, Surrey RCMP said police are looking for witnesses who saw the crash to contact the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are also looking for any available dash-cam video.
