WorkSafeBC is responding to an Abbotsford workplace where a “serious incident” sent a worker to hospital.
Police and fire crews responded to the incident, but neither was immediately able to comment on the incident, but to say that the incident occurred at a mill on Glenmore Road. WorkSafe spokesperson Gillian Burnett offered only preliminary details as of 3 p.m. Friday, stating that the provincial work safety authority was called to the scene at 12:50 p.m.
The location of the incident has not yet been confirmed. The News will update with more information as it becomes available.
