Metro Vancouver could be hit with severe thunderstorms Thursday evening.
That’s according to a weather alert issued by Environment Canada, saying conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
Heavy downpours are the main threat, the alert reads, and that “large hail is also possible.”
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions have favourable chances of causing wind gusts of 90 km/h or greater, hail of two cm or larger or heavy rainfall.
