Shortly after 4 a.m. today (Junw 2) Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Hartley Street.
Investigation has determined that multiple gunshots were fired at a Hartley Street residence just after 4am on Saturday morning.
It is important to note that this was NOT a random act. Police believe that this was a targeted attack.
Violence of this magnitude is extremely rare, if not unprecedented, in our community.
Investigators from the Quesnel RCMP and the RCMP Forensic Ident Section are working tirelessly on this case to ensure that the people responsible for this shooting are arrested and brought to justice.
Anyone in the area of Hartley Street at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning who may have seen a vehicle or people walking or may have heard anything is asked to call the Quesnel RCMP immediately.
