Through a phone poll of councillors, the District of 100 Mile House awarded the tender of the 2016 sidewalk projects to Bree Construction Ltd.

Bree Construction was the only company to submit a tender and it came in at $113,767.51.

TRUE Consulting opened the tender that was posted on BC Bid on July 4.

The project included the Horse Lake Road/Cedar Avenue sidewalk extension and the eighth Street sidewalk replacement.

The work will make it safer for residents of the Traveller Trailer Court to make their way back and forth across Horse Lake Road, especially in winter.
