Six months for robbery

One out of the four people accused of a variety of charges including break and enter in two robberies last year in the Comox Valley was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail.

One out of the four people accused of a variety of charges including break and enter in two robberies last year in the Comox Valley was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail.

Joshua Elijah Adam St. Pierre, 20, received a one-year sentence with credit given for six months time served, along with 18 months of monitoring in the community, in addition to a curfew and a no-contact order with his co-accused.

The sentence imposed by provincial court Judge Peter Doherty is concurrent on all counts.

During the evening of April 20, 2010, the Superstore Gas Bar on Ryan Road and the Liquor Express on Comox Road were robbed by suspects wielding weapons and demanding money.
