Drivers in the northern interior will get a better take on road conditions thanks to six new webcams being installed in the region this spring.
B.C.’s transportation ministry will add two webcams to the 15 already trained on Highway 16.
One will go up between Kitwanga and Terrace, the other between Terrace and Smithers.
New webcams will also be installed along Highway 37 between Kitwanga and Dease Lake, on Highway 113 near New Aiyansh, and on the Granisle Highway.
Existing webcams now cover Highway 16 at Smithers Main Street and at Hungry Hill as well as Highway 37 by the Kitwanga junction and just outside Terrace.
