There’s been a slight increase in new home construction in Vernon.
There were 15 unit starts in April, up from 12 during the same month in 2012.
All of the 15 starts were single-detached units, with no multiple unit construction recorded.
Year-to-date, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation states there have been 16 housing starts in Vernon. That is up from 51 during the first four months of 2012.
