The snow is likely to affect the search for a missing Edmonton-bound plane north of Revelstoke. Pilot Dominic Neron, 28, and his passenger, Ashely Bourgeault were reported missing Saturday evening after departing from the Penticton Airport.

Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre is heading up the search and spokesperson Katelyn Moores says the search today is focused about 18 kilometres north of Revelstoke.

The area is mountainous and is densely forested.

Two helicopters, a Buffalo aircraft, and two Parks Canada ground crews are searching the area for the missing plane.

The forecast snow may make the search more difficult for crews, but Moores told Black Press that she did not believe it would stop the search.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is likely to be pleased with the potential for snow.
