Snowarama raises nearly $3,500 for Easter Seal programs

The money is used to support Easter Seal Camps and Easter Seal Houses in B.C.

Clearwater Sno-Drifters’ annual Snowarama ride on Sunday, Feb. 16, raisd $3,405.60, club members report. Last year’s total was about $2,000.

The money is used to support Easter Seal Camps and Easter Seal Houses in B.C.

Top money raised was by Jeff Ruttan, while second-place went to Larry Reiter (who also rode the oldest sled).

Libby Toman won for both senior female rider and youngest female rider.

Senior male ride was Ralph Sunderman, while youngest male rider was Connor Dee.

Most money raised by a rider 16 and under was by Mack Arndt.

 

Many individuals and organizations contributed to make the event a success. Clearwater Elks provided the hall, while the Lions Club handled the paperwork and refreshments. Safety Mart, Jim’s A&W, Aspen Auto Parts and the Clearwater Times also helped out.
