A snowfall warning is in effect for Bella Coola today and into Friday as a strong storm is on the way in from the Pacific Coast. The storm will approach the coast today. Precipitation spreads onto the central coast late this morning. The airmass will be cold enough to produce snow for Central Coast – inland sections.
The snow will intensify this afternoon and persist through the evening. It will eventually change to rain early Friday morning as the airmass warms enough for the freezing level to climb significantly.
Up to 90 millimetres of rain is expected to fall over Howe Sound and Metro Vancouver. Higher terrain may see some snow.
