All eyes are going to be on new approaches in serving those in need this week, at the Surrey Social Innovation Summit. On Wednesday (Nov. 23) at city hall, hundreds of people will hear from experts on leading edge approaches to social innovation. It will feature more than a dozen sessions, and two dozen speakers and presenters. Whether it’s new ways to engage communities, health technologies that provide tools for social innovation, developing local economies, growing people with urban agriculture, putting technologies to work in aboriginal communities, or funding great ideas that work, this year’s summit takes a deep dive into social innovation solutions to some of our most pressing community issues. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Surrey City Hall, 13450 104 Ave. Tickets are $89, and can be purchased at https://event-wizard.com/SurreySocialInnovation2016/0/register/ |
