Earlier this week, the City of Kelowna announced that the Ogopogo structure at the downtown water park will soon be no more.

The beloved structure has been at the park for 30 years, but it has to go due to safety concerns. The news was not well received by Kelowna residents, and overall fans of the park’s peaceful sea creature.
The Kelowna Capital News article was shared dozens times on Facebook in just a few hours, and readers comments ranging from heartfelt to disappointedflowed in.
