Sooke Road is closed in both directions at Colwood Crescent (near Goldstream Avenue) after an early morning crash.
Crews hoped to have an eastbound lane open by 7 a.m. but the roadway remains closed at this time.
The crash, near Colwood Corners, involved a utility pole.
BC Hydro is reporting more than 2,600 customers are without power in the area and into Langford. Crews are on site and power is estimated to return by noon.
With the outage, power is out to businesses and traffic lights along the Colwood strip between Goldstream Avenue and the Colwood/View Royal border.
