Due to temporary laboratory staffing challenges, the out-patient (drop-in) laboratory service at Vernon Jubilee Hospital’s Polson tower will be closed on Sundays during July starting July 6.
The Interior Health Authority says staffing availability also means slightly longer waits may be experienced at the Vernon downtown laboratory, located at the Sterling Centre on 25th Avenue, during July.
“Interior Health apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary change creates,” it states.
“We are currently training additional staff and we anticipate the return of regular out-patient service hours at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital laboratory Polson tower in August.”
