Elections BC has extended the deadline to submit your ballot on electoral reform because of the continued strike at Canada Post.
The agency said the new date to mail your packages back will be 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, rather than Nov. 30.
According to an interim ballot package return report from Elections BC, 20,865 ballots have been returned from the Parksville-Qualicum area as of Nov. 29. That’s 44.7 per cent of the area’s 46,673 registered voters.
