A crash closed Highway 16 between Smithers and Telkwa Wednesday during a winter storm that is playing havoc with driving throughout the North and Interior.
The Highway re-opened at about 3 p.m. according to DriveBC, but traffic was congested.
A driving advisory was in place for Highway 16 from east of Burns Lake nearly to Prince Rupert, with avalanche risk closing the highway west of Terrace.
DriveBC recommends caution and suggests making alternate plans rather than risking it on the roads.
