The municipality of Summerland issued 14 building permits in August, with a value of $3,507,100.
The monthly building statistics were compiled for the Sept. 14 council meeting agenda.

This is fewer than the number of permits issued in August 2019, but the dollar value from August 2020 is slightly higher than during the same month a year earlier.
In August 2019, Summerland issued 23 permits, with a value of $3,217700.
So far this year, the municipality has issued 118 building permits, with a total value of $19,468,000.
A year ago, 156 permits, with a value of $30,468,000 had been issued.
