Summerland’s building permits in 2019 show busy year for construction

Permits worth more than $45 million show significant increase in activity

It was a busy year for Summerland’s development services department as the greatest number of building permits in recent years were issued.

In November, 13 permits worth $10,310,000 were issued and in December, six permits, worth $500,500 were issued.

Throughout 2019, the municipality issued a total of 206 permits with a total value of $45,879,300.

By comparison, there were 190 permits with a value of $28,043,700 issued in 2018, and in 2017 a total of 195 permits, worth, $31,115,882 were issued.
