The snowboard contest that brought 18 of the world’s best snowboarders to Nelson will be airing on NBC next week.
Travis Rice’s Red Bull Supernatural event hosted at Baldface Lodge will air March 31 at 10 a.m. local time.
Today the Red Bull Cold Rush aired, another event in the Redbull Signature Series. The three-day backcountry freeskiing competition was held earlier this month in Silverton, Colorado, and similar to Rice’s Supernatural event, crowned the world’s best in the sport.
While short clips of each event had been released prior to the NBC televised events to pique the appetite of viewers, today’s airing of the Cold Rush event should be an indication that Nelson’s Freeride Entertainment, who filmed both events, have plenty of jaw dropping footage to keep eyes glued to the screen.
Snowboarding superstar Travis Rice and his snowboarder associates set up at Baldface Lodge in February and when conditions were perfect they set themselves loose on the unique contest venue.
The Red Bull Signature Series is a 25-event showcase of what the world’s best in snowboarding, skiing, motocross, mountain biking and more have to offer. Throughout the year NBC will be airing each of the Red Bull events for the world to see.
