Supporting student mental health

When it comes to supporting child and youth mental wellness, improvements in mental health literacy can have a number of benefits including prevention, early recognition and intervention, and the reduction of stigma and discrimination.

A workshop will be held Feb. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hollywood Road Educational Services, with Parent In Residence Traci Cooke from The FORCE – Families Organized for Recognition and Care Equity.

The PiR and the YiR at The FORCE Society for Kids’ Mental Health have lived experience with family members with mental health challenges, and provide support, navigation, and resources to families across B.C. and at The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre.
