SURREY —  A Surrey man has pleaded guilty to 12 charges related to break-ins at SkyTrain stations in New Westminster.

Harvey Peter Hogan, 49, is expected to be sentenced on Nov. 12 after pleading guilty on Tuesday to three counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of break and enter, theft over $5,000, disguising his face in order to commit an offence, two counts of possession of break-in instruments, two counts of possession of break-n instruments for coin operated devices, and breaking out after entering to commit an offence.

New Westminster Police arrested Hogan on March 3, shortly after 5 a.m., on the elevated SkyTrain tracks between the Lougheed and Braid  stations.

“Hogan was attempting to evade police after breaking into the Braid station,” said Anne Drennan, spokeswoman for the Transit Police.

She said Transit Police had recognized Hogan as the same man caught on video breaking into the 22nd Street Station and an ATM at that station, at about 3:30 a.m. March 1st.

“Items located during the subsequent investigation included a suspect vehicle, break-in instruments and a large sum of cash,” Drennan said.
