A candlelight vigil “to honour all victims of violence” will be held at Holland Park on Saturday (March 4) from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event, organized by The Network to Eliminate Violence in Relationships (NEVR), will include family members of Maple Batalia, a Surrey university student killed in 2011 by an ex-boyfriend.
Guest speakers at the vigil will be Rosy Batalia, Kal Dosanjh, Natasha Raey, Brandi Leifso and Balbir Girm.
NEVR says it “stands with the Batalia family to raise awareness about violence in relationships and ways to disrupt the abuse cycle.”
