Those interested in the idea of public transit connections with the Cowichan Valley are asked to fill out a survey on the subject.
B.C. Transit, the Cowichan Valley Regional District and the Regional District of Nanaimo want to hear from riders about interregional transit service between the two areas. The proposed interregional transit service would provide opportunities to travel between the Cowichan Valley and the Nanaimo region via public transportation.
People can fill out the survey until Oct. 16.
The survey will give customers in both regions a chance to provide feedback on the need for an interregional route including start and final destinations, preferred trip times, and proposed fares.
A dedicated website is available for more information on the service. The website offers the public a web-based map to pin the start and end of their travel, while providing an opportunity to ask questions or provide comments to staff.
